Continuing my foray into the Dublin Music photography scene, I very recently had the pleasure of photographing blues man, Gavin Feiritéar. Who also goes by the moniker of Thrill Pilgrim. We took a hike up Montpelier hill in the Dublin mountains, grabbing shots along the way while Gavin entertained us with some tunes on his guitar and harmonica. Sounds like a great way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon doesn't it? It was, but the walking SUCKED!
Me, being the monumental idiot/optimist that I am (anyone who knows me well probably left out a big laugh upon reading that last line), decided to bring almost every piece of equipment I own with me. On a hike. Up a steep hill. On a hot summers day. I think I used the same two lenses the whole time, and shot mostly natural light. Sigh...
We managed to make it all the way up to the spooky old Hellfire Club building. I was hoping we could get some shots in there, but when I saw the place I knew there wasn't much point. It's pretty much covered in graffiti (one of the things I refuse to ever photograph), and is much too dark to do anything worthwhile inside there. So, we ended up shooting some stuff in the grass outside. It was pretty cool photographing a musician playing live at the top of a hill on a sunny day. An experience I must repeat some day for sure.

That'll Do For Now
That's all I got for now. Do me a favour and go check out the Thrill Pilgrim Facebook page, and as always, I'm open to all comments and criticisms. So, come at me on any of these things here ->: email, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.
Later,
B.
