Here's some more simple portrait photography from my Dublin City studio. A recent, very pink, shoot with Monika Klinaviciute and makeup by Ciara Karagianni... We didn't really intend for these images to turn out so pink, but Monika had a nice pink sweater that went well with one of my rolls of paper,so we went with it.
We started out shooting natural light in the studio, but it was a horrible day outside and the dark clouds soon put the kibosh on that idea. So I quickly got set up with what is probably my favorite lighting configuration right now. A large feathered source to one side and a large fill on the other. You can see a diagram in the post about my recent shoot with Rebecca Dore.
We shot most of the images like this until the natural light started to improve a little and we managed to grab a few more shots in front of my new chalkboard background, which I discussed in my previous post about my shoot with Victoria Almazovaite.
That's about it really, not much more to say other than it was great fun working with Monika and Ciara, even if they did ransack the large jar of jellybeans I keep in the studio :P
