A super quick post this week to share some new portrait photography from a recent model test with Karolina Tomasiak. Karolina stopped by the studio for a quick test shoot a couple of weeks ago. We shot a paramount lighting style against the chalkboard wall of my studio, which I've mentioned before.
I alternated between using a 70cm white beauty dish and a 135cm octa-box. I also experimented with balancing the strobe with the ambient light coming through the windows of the studio (see the last 6 or 7 images for the results).
I deviated a little from my usual retouching workflow with these images. I experimented a lot more than usual with the colour grading, trying to achieve that warm tone that is often seen in movies. I don't think I managed it, but I quite like the results of the experiment.
Okay, that's it for now. As I said, this would be a quick one. If you have any comments or questions about these images, please leave them below or on my Facebook Page.
